Give so others can
get help
|
One of the
best ways to help victims of sexual violence in your
community is through a financial donation. Crisis
intervention services are needed every day of the year, yet
they cannot be provided without adequate funding. Grants,
client contributions and agency fundraising projects cannot
cover all the costs associated with office space,
communications, personnel and community awareness
activities. |
|
Everyone knows
someone who has been hurt by sexual violence! |
|
Whether you
live in Carroll County or across the nation, sexual violence
and the trauma it brings to its victims affects everyone.
The majority of sexual assaults are never reported, and many
victims don’t tell their families about what happened for
years. Most of the people who receive counseling
services from sexual assault centers have never told their
families about the abuse prior to receiving counseling! |
|
As a
non-profit organization, your donation to Rape Crisis makes
a difference. Gifts make it possible for us to provide free
of charge the confidential crisis and counseling services
needed by victims of sexual crime24 hours a day, every day
of the year. We also work just as hard to prevent sexual
violence through education and advocacy. Each year Rape
Crisis educators speak to thousands of children and adults
to teach them what they can do to reduce their risk and
where to get help if it’s needed. (For more information
about our education program see section "Service Volume.) |
