Job OpportunitiesThere are no paid employment opportunities at this time.InternshipsRCIS offers unpaid internship opportunities to students in college and high school. Interns, ages 21 and over, may complete the hotline training in order to have client contact during their internship. Hotline training is not mandatory, though interns are required to pass a criminal background investigation and sign a confidentiality agreement. See below for descriptions of internships available.Special Projects Intern: If you have event planning, grant writing/researching, public relations, marketing, or other skills to help a small non-profit grow, then a Special Projects Internship may be perfect for you. Interns work closely with our Community Educator to find new ways to promote our organization and our mission to the community. If you are considering the field of education as a career, you may be given the option to observe the Community Educator during presentations at the middle and high schools in Carroll County. Requirements: Minimum of 10 hours per week (will accommodate your school schedule and the requirements of your internship). Basic computer skills required. Good personal demeanor and customer service a must. Any extra experience you bring to the table is a plus! Administrative Intern: RCIS offers one Administrative Internship per semester to assist with general administrative duties which keep a small non-profit running smoothly. Duties could include general filing, donor correspondence, database management, and/or newsletter preparation. Administrative interns must be flexible and quick on their toes to keep up the demand of a small, but very busy community support organization. Requirements: Minimum of 10 hours per week (will accommodate your school schedule and the requirements of your internship). Intermediate computer skills required. Good personal demeanor, customer service, and organizational skills a must. High School Intern: Are you in high school and in need of community service hours or hands-on experience to figure out what you want to do with your post-high school plans?
