Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 1978 to provide counseling and support services to people in the community hurt by sexual violence, and to eliminate sexual violence in Carroll County through education and advocacy. “Sexual violence is a broad umbrella term encompassing rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and more.”
RCIS provides free and confidential services for up to six months for victim-survivors of all types of sexual violence, who are 13 and older, whether it happened today or in the past, as well as their friends and family members who are also affected. RCIS is located in Westminster and serves all of Carroll County.
