You are not alone.
We can help you understand your options.

Our Mission

Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County is a non-profit organization established in 1978 to provide free services to victim-survivors of sexual violence, their friends, and family members.

Our Services

We provide free and confidential services for victim-survivors of all types of sexual violence, who are now over the age of 12, whether it happened yesterday or twenty years ago. “Sexual violence” is a broad umbrella term encompassing rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and more. All of these experiences can be difficult to heal from and we are here to help.  Please call our 24-Hour Hotline at (410) 857-7322 to speak with an advocate and understand all of your options.

If you are seeking services for someone under the age of 12, please contact Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland at (410) 876-1233.

We believe you.
Healing is possible and we can help.

14th Annual Walk a Mile in Their Shoes Event:
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County (RCIS) invites you to walk in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence during our 14th Annual Walk a Mile in Their Shoes event on May 14th. You can show your support to survivors in our community by taking part in the conversation about sexual violence advocacy and prevention. We encourage men to put on a pair of women's shoes and walk alongside family, friends, survivors, and community members alike. It's time to make a difference in our county!

To register for our event, please click here: Register today as an individual walker or create a team of friends, family, or co-workers.

All funds raised from this event will directly support RCIS and the free services we offer to survivors, their friends and family, and members of Carroll County. To receive a t-shirt with registration, please register before April 26th.
